About MeDDelivr
MeDDelivr is a compliance-first coordination platform for the delivery of time-critical pharmaceutical products. We are the coordination and chain-of-custody layer that sits above all courier types vans, riders, robots, and drones ensuring every delivery of blood, chemotherapy, controlled drugs, and pathology samples is tracked, verified, and GDP-audit-ready from the point of collection to confirmed receipt.
We are not a courier company. We are the intelligence and compliance layer that makes regulated last-mile pharmaceutical delivery accountable.
The problem we solve
Pharmaceutical last-mile delivery in regulated healthcare systems is largely uncoordinated and unaudited. Hand-offs happen over phone calls and paper logs. Cold-chain failures go undetected in real time. When something goes wrong, there is no verifiable chain of custody and no automatic record of who did what and when.
In the NHS, this means clinical staff coordinating urgent deliveries without a shared system. In Nigeria, the Electronic Pharmacy Regulations 2026 now mandate digital delivery records that most operators currently cannot produce.
MeDDelivr exists to close both gaps.
What the platform does
MeDDelivr provides real-time delivery coordination across all courier types, with automatic product ID verification at the point of collection, cold-chain temperature monitoring, exception detection and escalation, digital receiver confirmation, and a GDP-compliant audit document generated automatically at the end of every delivery.
Every delivery produces an immutable chain of custody record tamper-evident, inspection-ready, and defensible to MHRA, CQC, and NAFDAC regulatory review.
Where we operate
We are building for two active markets simultaneously:
United Kingdom -NHS intra-trust logistics. MeDDelivr is registered on the NHS Innovation Service (Innovation ID: INN-2603-0028-1) and actively engaged with the Health Innovation Network North East and North Cumbria. We are based in Tees Valley and working toward a structured NHS Trust pilot in partnership with regional innovation partners.
Nigeria – E-pharmacy compliance. Through Thrive Pharmacy Ltd — our registered Nigerian pharmaceutical operating entity we are building toward the first compliant pilot under the Electronic Pharmacy Regulations 2026. We have an active relationship with NAFDAC and are in discussion with pharmacy partners for the first pilot deployments.
Our stage
MeDDelivr completed its first verified end-to-end delivery demonstration in May 2026, generating a live GDP compliance audit document. The platform has six active roles Requester, Dispatcher, Organisation Courier, Independent Network Courier, Receiver, and Organisation Admin — and has been assessed at Technology Readiness Level 4, with a clear pathway to TRL 5 through structured NHS and Nigeria pilot activity.
We have been awarded a UK Government-funded competitive stipend through the Tees Valley Labs Pre-Flight programme and are pursuing grant funding through the NIHR Improvement and Development Grant pathway.
The founder
MeDDelivr was founded by Joseph Asikpo a registered pharmacist with 22 years of senior roles and director-level experience at NAFDAC, Nigeria’s national medicines regulatory authority, combined with NHS aseptic pharmacy experience at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Joseph has represented Nigeria at international regulatory harmonisation forums including the VICH 11 Outreach Forum in Cape Town alongside officials from the UK VMD, European Medicines Agency, and US FDA.
The compliance architecture of MeDDelivr is not a feature added to a logistics platform. It is the foundation the platform was built on — designed from the inside out by someone who has spent two decades inside national pharmaceutical regulatory systems.
